When a suit and tie is not the flow for the vibe and a rocking jeans with a button down does not merit you a blue ribbon for effort, here are some looks from Spring 2013 that are giving Men’s fashion more mixes for a wardrobe playlist.

You know, lately sportswear has lost its Mojo and is just an in between look that does not look pulled together. I have scooped the market and found designers using Avante-garde methods in tailoring with very comfortable sporting textiles such as neoprene, nylon mesh and modal jerseys.  The magic is bewildering- you get the comfort of athletic clothing and tailored pieces at the same time!.

Says Tim Bess, Men’s Trend analyst, “Guys seem to be going sober and the passion for rock stars look is thinning out. So detailed shirts and grungy jeans are on the way out. In its place cool, classic, conservative and polished looks are rushing in.”

Color is becoming a key concept and a movement towards color is palpable with lots of non-blue jeans in mint green, yellow and pink showing up on runways..

Sports-inspired tank tops and striped pants are not a rarity. As for new knits linen, slim-downed polos, silk blends are lending a fresh dose of novelty. In patterns, horizontal stripes and vintage-inspired Florals are worth watching.
